I'm looking at a PB 2400 and have a few of questions about the
backlight. First, it's a lot brighter at the bottom than at the
top--is this normal? And how big a range is there from fully bright
to dim? I can't get anything *near* what I would call dim.

Also, the backlight occasionally flashes brightly. What could be the
cause of this? I hesitate to buy such an obscure 'book without
really figuring out what might ultimately go wrong with it.

Thanks.
