My dramatic 2400 troubles seem on the verge of being solved - the
machine is finally working well except for the following:

My 2400 has a Newer 240mhz G3, and has the MCE CardBus upgrade. When
I insert my MacAlly USB card, the finder quits. If I try to restart
with the card in, it won't boot up. If I eject the card using the
emergency eject in the back, it boots up fine.

I have "processor cycling" and "turn off power to inactive pc cards"
off in the energy saver control panel, for both battery and AC
adapter. I've had the same problem with the two most recent versions
of USB card support, and I've tried reinstalling the extensions just
in case the old ones were corrupted. I don't seem to be having the
problem when a non-CardBus card is inserted.

It sounds close to the problems discussed last week. Does anyone
have any ideas?

Thanks,

Alex
