Recently moved from a Quadra 605 to a Duo 2300c, mostly used in a Duo
Dock. The Duo has an internal ATA 750MB drive; I put a 2.0GB SCSI I
drive in the Dock and use that as the startup drive when docked. I'm
very disappointed in the SCSI transfer performance with external devices,
but then I didn't know ahead of time that these powerbooks were so
constrained.

I'm wondering what the NuBus SCSI cards offer: any better transfer
speeds? or do they just offer an additional SCSI chain? or???

Also, I find the HDI-30 port (to an adapter and then a cable) seems
rather fragile. I sometimes have to reseat it and restart for the
external SCSI chain to be recognized. Any suggestions for a more stable
connection?

TIA
