If you don't mind the size and limited display resolution of an iBook
and can afford it, I'd go that route. I wanted a new iBook, but I
just wasn't willing to pay $1500 for an 800x600 display. It's a
LOVELY machine, though, if you don't mind the screen size. And you
have less expandability than CardBus would get you, but the
expandability you do have--USB--is much more modern.
I decided on a 2400 because it had the same display size as an iBook
at half the price or so, and the legacy ports, which I need,
especially the serial port. You can't configure a router over USB,
and I don't trust adapters to work when you need them most.
