Darren, this is more of a data point than of any real help, but I 
also get the message , but only when I restart from a freeze and OS 
8.6 apparently finds the Newer G3 cache and doesn't know what to do 
about it.  I usually just restart and all is well.  I'm guessing the 
Newer extension is not loading which for some reason triggers the 
error message.  BTW, you need more RAM. ;-)
