a british pc dealer i know has written me to say that he has come into a large stock of duos--mainly 230s and 2300c's--most of them with modems, some minidocks, etc. he's been unloading them piecemeal on the usual online auction blocks and i've bought two 230s from him which turned out to be very clean and well maintained (ex-company issues); one had a missing screen latch but also an extra power supply. the supplier's not a mac person and so can't tell for sure exactly what the condition of every duo is, but if they're like the two i got, they'll work right out of the bag (they come in nice mac-logoed bags, too). he asked me if i wanted all 50 duos (yes! yes! yes!) BUT i won't be in the UK for much longer and so very sadly had to say no. he's only interested in a bulk sale--if you want a duo or a minidock you'll have to get them at auction. if you're in the uk and have the capital, time, storage space, and expertise to get these things and bring them up to speed, this could be more than just fun for you. if you're seriously interested, e-mail me offlist and i'll forward your enquiry to him, and then you two can talk directly. no commission here for me :( and no liabilities assumed, either, but i wouldn't mind buying your best 2300c cheap :) cheers jose ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
