Hi all:

My 2400 won't boot up today, my suspicion in the HD. Symptoms:

Get the happy mac chime, HD clicks but doesn't spin up. When connected
to an external CD with a system on it, 'puter sees it and boots. Disk
Doctor can't find the HD to attempt a repair.

Any suggestions?

It's the original 1.3 gig drive which I wouldn't mind replacing with a 4
gig one - if I can find one that's inexpensive - now that there are 18
gig drives!

tia,

beth
