For some time now, all of a sudden, my little PB2400 (80 MB Newertech RAM, Newertech
G3) started to give the following error message at the beginning of startup, right
after the background appears but before the extensions load. It does like this:

The built-in memory test detected a problems with the cache memory. Please contact a
service technician.

Once I hit OK, the startup continues without a hitch. The computer works just as well
as before, there are no crashes, no slowdowns.

I ran TechTool (negative) which tests the cache but I'm not sure if it tests anythinbg
relevant. I turned off the memory check in the Memory CP but I assume this testinc
occurs before it loads anyway.

The only annoying thing so far is that I can't simply restart and walk away because
the startrup stops at the dialog box. Since I run it for weeks without a restart it is
not a big issue, but I'd like to know what this message is about and how (if) it can
be stopped.

Thanks
