The 2400 works great with this drive (it's what I've got in my 2400). 
I do remember one gentleman who posted here who was having difficulty 
with one in his 2400, however.

There are two standards for mounting hole locations on 2.5" hard 
drives.  The DTCA-24090 is on the newer standard with the holes far 
apart, near the corners of the drive.  Older computers like the 2300 
may need an adapter bracket, which I think MCE sells, but the 2400 is 
just recent enough that it can use either type of drive.

The 2400's only restriction is that you should use a 12.7mm thick 
drive to get proper cooling; thicker won't fit and thinner won't 
contact the heat transfer pad that cools the drive.
