In general when i have any conflict or problems I can not resolve on thefirst few
trials, I go thru the following routine:
Zap PRAM, rebuild desktop, delete my "ususal suspects" (AppleMenuOptions prefs,
AppleShare Prep, any prefs that has to do with filesharing, Finder prefs).
Sometims it works and not infrequently!
