For digital video, I don't see why not. It's a lot faster than the factory drive. ViaVoice probably isn't bottlenecked by hard drive speed, so it really wouldn't make much difference there. That drive does use more power than the stock drive, so you might be better off sticking with the 30GT model (30GB, 4200 RPM) instead.
