I'm considering upgrading my HD from 1.1 GB to either 6.4 GB (9.5 mm) or
12.5 mm (12.5 mm). I'll probably buy from The Powerbook Guy since he
seems to get pretty good recommendations.

Anyone know about on-line instructions for removing and replacing the HD?

Will either height (9.5 mm or 12 mm) fit OK?

The HD page at The Powerbook Guy indicates that an adapter is required
for 2 GB and greater drives. (It's not clear if it's a separate buy or
comes with the drive.) Anyone experienced with the use of this adapter?

Any special "challenges" accomplishing this job?

What's the preferred method of transferring the OS (I'm running 8.1),
extensions, preferences and all the other files from one drive to the
other? I'm backed on 100 MB zip disks and also have a dock with an
internal 750 MB HD.

I'd appreciate any help/suggestions on any of these issues.
