in the worst case you're looking at a $100 problem--looks very much to me 
like the infamous "red X of battery death" (actually the battery's OK; it's 
a fuse on your power board that's fried); i had paul vail on this list fix 
mine a month ago (good, quick service; had him replace the pram battery at 
the same time); duolista jacqueline staples also knows someone who fixes the 
fuse problem in seattle (paul's in north carolina)--the fuse itself is 
cheap, but the knowhow to fix it ain't (although it sure is worth it, just 
to get your baby back in tiptop shape).
