I was just sitting here quietly, reading my e-mail, when Claris Emailer
made a call to the Hard Disc of my Duo 210.

The 80 Meg internal spooled-up with its familiar whine, then over-spooled
--- as though it had lost its control servo --- then spooled down to
zero. The machine wasn't frozen, although it might as well have been,
since without a rotating hard disk it wouldn't budge.

I powered down; powered back up; and all is forgiven --- I'm using it now.

Any ideas what happened?
