Just got back from my first out of town trip (1 week) with the Duo 2300c.
I definitely need a new battery (and a larger hard drive, and more
memory, and...). But the purpose of this note is to share my experiences
with a/c adapter selection since individuals on this list provided
excellent guidance and the subject comes up periodically.

Thanks to the reassurance provided on this list that newer adapters will
work I bought an iBook adapter from <http://www.powermax.com> (also at
<http://www.applemugstore.com> for user group members) for $49. They
also have a powerbook g3 adapter for the same price. I selected the
iBook adapter because the cord wrapping into the case seemed like a great
idea. Unfortunately, this is only half way executed - the power cord
doesn't wrap. And, being
round, it takes up more space in the briefcase. Since I usually use the
Duo in the dock in my office, the need was for when traveling only. I
now wish I had spent the $88 for the
<http://www.madsonline.com/acadapter.html>; 3 1/4" x 1 5/8" x 7/8" 5oz.
is appealing.

While the 2300c calls for a 35 watt power supply, the 45 watt adapter was
impressive in how quickly it recharged the battery, even while using the
duo; important when using the airplane lav & in between flights. Need to
look into those adapters for the 15v outlets in the armrest for the next
flight.

Anyway, my experience & thoughts; hope this helps someone.
