Hey there...

I was just given a DuoDock II with the DuoPowerBook 250. I figured out
how to dis-assemble it, found all the rattling parts inside and fixed
those, but now I'm into trying to use the thing.

I must not be getting the insertion/start-up order down right or
something. When I insert the Book and push the Power ON button on the
rear of the Dock sometimes I get the evil broken chords (2 times) which
normally mean the chimes of doom. You can't really tell because the
monitor says it detects no signal at this point. (PC monitor w/Mac
Aadapter) I cut everything off and try again and I get the happy Mac and
everything's a GO.

This has happened twice now, so I'm beginning to think it's something
I'm doing wrong. I ran Norton a couple of times and cleared up all the
little minor stuff, but it still did it again today. I have moved the
Doc station from my home to my work and it's been unplugged and plugged
back in several times in the transition. I don't know if this would be a
part of the problem or not.

Any suggestions?
