Here is one for you:

Last week my Duo 2300 crashed and would not work without the power adapter
being plugged in. I reset the power manager three times before it finally
recognized the batter (a new one). This week it did the same thing. When
plugged in there is a X through the battery icon and the control strip does
not show any battery, just a plug icon. Does this mean that the motherboard
is bad and needs to be replaced? It runs fine just requires the power
adapter and does not recognize the presence of a good battery.

I also assume that my ticking Duo dock that will not accept the book is
caused by a dying power supply? Is this whole setup worth fixing or am I
better off getting a new book? I realize this is all relative, and a new one
is more expensive, but I was just wondering.
