On the other hand! (Snickering)
Check the address on the drive, make sure it's formatted and drivers are
installed. I use HTD prober to force drives to mount. You can try norton
and use the option show missing disks (under the menu heading disks). You
can also try formatter one pro.
Is the drive installed in the internal bay? Or in the scsi chain?
