I just had the same problem with my 280c - and I did the same thing,
just let it sit there plugged in &turned on & after some time it sucked
in the Duo & we were in business. I hope the thing doesn't die too soon!

Most of the problems I was having with the 280c were due to the lid of
the dock being jossled around by UPS and not being seated properly -
that, and an incorrect termination on an external HD - causing all kinds
of weird stuff to take place.

Everything is working fine now - thanks for all the suggestions, guys!
