Try these settings in OF:
setenv auto-boot? false
setenv real-mode? false
setenv load-base 10000

...to get you through the install. Do *not* reset your PRAM.

caveat, I have not tried these in conjunction with installing any OS 
10 variant on a 2400, just hacking linux to run on an Apple prototype 
that I own. YMMV.
