Hi all!

Today I tried installing the software for my new scanner. What a mistake!
It installed okay, but a lot of other things on my 2400 have suddenly gone
wonky. Eudora and Netscape have a really different looking interface--a
lot like the interface when I boot up off my disk first aid
disk--everything in black and white, buttons are just outlined and not
contoured-looking, and when I select something from the menubar the list
doesn't stay open by itself, I have to hold down the trackpad button. And
we all know how dodgy the 2400 trackpad buttons can be! No windowshades,
etc.

Even worse, it is now showing that the HD is almost full (1.1 gig). I
removed the software as best I could (no uninstall option), but all the
problems it seems to have caused remained.

Any ideas? I am wondering if the full HD could be an error, cos last time
I looked I had only about 700M of stuff on here. I have downloaded some
mp3s since then, but I don't really have tons of them. I have 170M of
mp3s, and a lot of those are old (so would have been counted in the 700M
before). Other than that I honestly can't think of anything that could be
taking up so much space.

Does anyone know what could have changed the appearance and functionality
of my applications so much? Disk first aid and Norton say everything is
fine. Help!

Thanks in advance for any answers.
Corina
