Hi
Sorry: no solution for you--mostly just empathy.

Here's a question to think about: does it do that with an external keyboard,
too (via a dock) or are your keys litterally sticking (like someone spilled
coke on there or something)? Also: do you have the system program
"skickeykeys" engaged (it is to help disabled people type).

I had a similar problem last year on a 280, and determined it was bad
news...I had bequethed my 280 to Mom when I got my 2300c. She liked it
until it started doing doing the sometimes-stickey thing. On hers it proved
to be a board-level problem. (Sorry.) It only happened on external
keyboards. At first I thought is was the keyboard, but I tried all
combinations of 3 keyboards and three docks (micro dock, DUO dock, and DUO
dock II). However, the on-board keyboard works fine. I tried blasting the
PROM, different systems, (7.1 and 7.5), messing with StickyKeys, and I even
tried the special swear words that make car parts go on. Nothing helped.
Now, being nearly useless in a dock, it is soart-of religated to being a
little grayscale portable--which it does just fine. I'll be thrilled if
someone knows a cure for this--but, since changes in external harware and to
software don't have an effect, I'm afraid it is a board-level problem.

Oh, by the way: you can get the keyboard out easliy (that's about the only
thing tha comes out easy). There are three "TORX" screws on the bottom
(under the keyboard). Unscew them (they are a wierd size: like: 4.5 (I
think)), thn turn the computer over and the keyboard falls out. (ba carefull:
the wires are still attached). You can also get at the RAM this way.

Good Luck!
