It seems like a simple solution would be to repackage an iBook into a
sub-notebook format. The iBook is certainly smaller than the G3 PowerBooks
but it's still too big for a sub-notebook not to mention it is styled for a
different target audience.

To achive the nice look and rounded edges of the iBook, as well as provide a
larger keyboard, the iBook has a lot of unnecessary plastic (that 12.1"
screen "floats" in the middle of the lid).

I would bet that the guts could be used without change and the screem could
be fitted into an edge-to-edge lid. Then downsize the keyboard to a 2400 or
Duo size. Also allow us to swap out the CD-ROM drive for other devices.

Fit that between the iBook & PowerBook. It could happen!
