I did this once and broke the small little "teeth" on the top edge of the
casing so be very careful. If I recall correctly, there are two small
concealed torq screws to undo, then working from the hinge edge, loosen the
halves slightly so that you can slide the top half (not the lcd half) of
the shell forward (towards the latch) The small spring that goes with the
latch will fly to safety under some funiture as soon as you touch it so
keep an eye out for it.
