I too talked with a representative of BTI at Macworld, as I did last
year. Adolfo Garcia told me that BTI had reinstated the 2400 battery
project because they had invested so many resources in it that they could
not afford just walk away. He told me that they definitely will be
offering a 2400 battery in the future. Although he would not suggest a
timeline, given what he told me last year and in follow up emails, he
did say BTI Battery would have newer technology and a longer life than
the original battery developed by Apple.
