Really it could be letting them discharge with a fresh boot! old
electricity you know got to get new stuff in there but ya have to get rid of
the old stuff first!

However, I have heard from some users that they unplugged everything,
includin the PRAM battery and left the machine wallow in guilt for a few
days and after that it miraculously revived itself. I don't hink anyone has
any idea why this works but its worth a try if you have time.
