Thanks, but that is just what I would like to avoid. The internal ffmpeg
is prehistoric and handles MPEG-PS timestamp discontinuities/jumps much
worse than the new ones (which mostly makes them disappear).

BTW, why is the supplied ffmpeg so old? The last time I asked this I was
given the advice to search on the mailing list, but could not find a
clear answer then.
