I assume the choice of 'T' as the major prefix reflects the origin of dvc in a package supporting tla. For someone like myself T has zero mnemonic significance. Even though the various rcs scheme you are support all have _D_istributed modes of use to me their most salient property is support for _V_ersioning. I expect that even those exploiting distributed capabilities sometime make entirely local use of their rcs. Hence I would like to suggest changing the major prefix be 'V'.
