Define xgit-use-index-p and use it for xgit-diff.
By default, xgit prompts each time it needs to know whether to use the
index. The user has the ability to set the option to 'always and 'never
for the current session.
With the index, xgit-diff runs "git diff", while with the index, it runs
"git diff HEAD".
