The skin looks the same from the outside, but on the inside it's now been revamped to use new MediaWiki features. The sidebar now has links to the most important categories on the wiki, in the hopes that it will be easier to navigate, and there are also links to the mailing lists, IRC, and LJ communities. Additionally, I've turned on MW Suggest. When you start typing in a page name in the search in the sidebar, it will try and give you suggestions of article names.
