We strongly, strongly recommend that you don't mail cash through the
US mail service. Seriously. If it gets lost or misdirected, if it
doesn't arrive here, or if someone along the way recognizes that
there's cash in the envelope and intercepts it, there is absolutely
no way to prove that you mailed it or reclaim your payment. We
*strongly* recommend that you send a check or money order instead.
(Money orders can generally be obtained at the post office, at many
banks, and at some convenience stores.) We also recommend that you
send your physical payment with delivery tracking.

That having been said, if you want to risk sending us cash in the
mail, and it gets here, we will credit it to your account. Seriously,
though, DON'T DO THIS. Get a money order instead. I can't say this
often enough. When I worked for LJ, over half of the cash that was
sent to us in the mail went missing in transit.

We will accept checks and money orders for payment. There'll be some
delay between when you send it and when it's credited to your
account, obviously (more so because mail to our physical address is a
wee bit unreliable; packages have been known to get held for up to
two-three weeks or until I notice that they haven't been delivered
and go yell at the people who handle our mail), but this won't cause
you to lose any paid time credit: your paid time will begin once we
enter the payment, not when you build your order.
