One that I use all the time and where I immediately feel the loss on JF 
or IJ is the Greasemonkey new comments script ( 
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/2494 ) that shows you which comments 
have been added since the last time you viewed a post. *Incredibly* 
useful for following large discussions that run over longer periods of time.

That one's my big one, but I also sometimes use LJLogin (although from 
the talk about parent-child accounts it sounds as if that won't be 
necessary) and a thread unfolder - where the main advantage over the 
Expand button is that a) you get it on all pages instead of just for 
paid accounts ;) and b) there's an Unfold All button that allows you to 
expand all threads on the page at once.
