On LJ, you can hide your member-of list by hiding your friend-of - which on DW I guess corresponds to "Non-mutual [] Show accounts that have given you access, but to whom you have not given access.", an option on the bottom of the Edit Profile page. Leave that option unchecked, and when you view your profile it'll say (Hidden) in the appropriate areas.
That info will still be available other places, so it's not hidden completely (there is no way to do that), but it'll hide it from a casual observer. You might also want to not subscribe to the community, since there isn't a way to hide communities you've subscribed to.
