This looks like it would be neat, and pretty straight forward to do. If it does happen, I would love it if it could replicate the old ability sms_to_lj had of using the post by email interface for paid users so that we didn't have to put our passwords into a third party site (which is what always stops me actually using these things!). Their documentation on the custom URL stuff (http://groups.google.com/group/pingfm-developers/web/working-with-a-custom-url?pli=1) makes it look as if that would be very possible - DW would just need a receiving URL and we could stick our email pins into the interface...
