I think it's been requested before that a 'turn off LoudTwitter' switch been 
added to people's preferences, but in the event that it is not, you can add the 
following line to your Custom CSS (at LJ; I've not seen any LT to Dreamwidth 
yet, but I assume it would work the same):

.loudtwitter { display: none!important }

As for *commenting* via Twitter, how exactly would/could that work?
