The whole OpenID thing just confuses me, truth to tell. :) *waves* lurker here, it's been fun and fascinating watching all this happen over the last few months, and I would just like to say it's been cool participating (even passively) in what has been a largely grump-free creative process. Thank you to the folks actively involved in making this happen, and thank you to everyone for being so open, honest, helpful and friendly!
That said... I tried logging in with my OpenID and it flat-out did not work, on several platforms. I'm entirely willing to believe it was me not doing something right; I am a geek, but an older one, and testing is my thing. It's possible that without a script to follow I just didn't "get something". :) Did anyone else experience similar difficulties? As to the specific question, I like Denise's idea of being able to permanently screen things that are ported over, FWIW. I'd like to be able to keep comment groups together, but would not want to torque off a friend or reader who didn't want their comments to be at DW. (Why they might potentially care is another can o' worms entirely... but I digress.) Anyway, thanks everyone, and rock on! Curious in Virginia, Jasta
