That might be an ideal solution. That's actually partly a bit how "us(intl)" works, without the dead keys. For example, RAlt + e = é and RAlt + , = ç. I am afraid that's the only two I can write though, so it would indeed be much better if I could just add similar shortcuts on top of "us". Any pointers on how to do this?
