Hello Steve...

I recently purchased an MFJ 1263 Mic/Radio Switch to use with my old
Icom 735 and the MFJ 393 headset. It came with the Icom cable, but
as
you may be aware, MFC defaults the jumpers for Kenwood/Yaesu. I've
not been able to get it working--not even with the Icom adapter cable
or by making the jumper changes--nor has MFJ technical support (they
didn't even have the manual; had to go get one out of a new box) and
as we await specific word from the engineer it was suggested that I
drop a note to you.

You installed a 1262 mic switch and the 1275 sound card interface,
apparently with excellent results. You mentioned in your review
(posted on the MFJ site) that the connection was "a tad confusing,"
so
between the MFJ tech, Jimmy and me, we decided that maybe you knew
more about this than both of us combined.

You don't mention if you connected yours to Kenwood/Yaesu or to
Icom...I'm hoping you put it on an Icom and will have all the
mysteries figured out.

Any advice?
