Every postcard I have received in the last 3 or 4 years (QSL cards and 
others) have been damaged in some way by the post office machinery.  I got 
one QSL sent as a postcard delivered in about 5 pieces in a plastic bag.

I prefer getting them in envelopes for tht reason.
