John and All,

I saw your post earlier, which reminded me I had never requested mine (or
donated either). Sort of dumb on my part since I worked them on 20 band slots!
I also had the opportunity at Dayton to see the QSL they are sending out--It's
both unique and exceptionally well made. It's actually a booklet, complete
with pictures, etc.

Anyway, your email kicked me in the butt, and I realized I had better get it
done. I went to their website, followed the procedures outlined, including
making an appropriate donation, and everything seems to have gone through
perfectly. I made the donation via paypal.

Here's the process:

1. Go to www.vp6dx.com
2. click on the "online QSL request"
3. Enter your callsign in the popup window
4. Fill in the requested data from your log on the screen that appears and
click "next"
5. A screen will now show a summary of the QSO's you entered, and has
supposedly been saved to their database for verification.

At this point you need to decide if you want a QSL sent directly or not. If
you do, you need to go through the remainder of the process to request it,
including arranging for your donation. You could also send it by mail, but
that will take longer. But if you don't use PayPal, I guess that's your only
choice.

I don't know what the problem is that you incurred trying to contact them, but
I can imagine that they are inundated with various requests. Accordingly, I
would urge you to you their "automatic" process (as I did), and then just wait
it out. You should get a receipt from PayPal, so by keeping a copy of the list
of QSO's you get in response to making your entries, I would think you could
eventually get your QSL if some glitch prevents that otherwise. I also think
that going the donation route (it's only a $5 minimum) might expedite your
request. I remember early on that it was clearly indicated that those who
donated would get preference as to timing. I just hope my waiting so long
didn't put me completely out of the preferential process.

Hope this gives you some encouragement.

My thanks to the many folks who responded to my question about VP6DX QSL
status. It seem all have had them for a month or so, and I haven't seen any
postings on the DX-QSL reflector about recent cards. I guess I will never get
one since I can't even get a response to emails re this. Thanks again.
