[DX-NEWS] VU2SON applauds ham radio

I just got a nice personally signed letter from Sonia Gandhi, VU2SON, head 
of the majority party in current India government, noting her apperciation 
of the VU4 team and of ham radio's contribution to the good handling of the 
disaster.  The India Prime Minister and other most senior officials have 
also made personal statements and appearances to testify about the value of 
ham radio.

This would be like the American President, Vice Pres., and leaders from 
Congress taking such detailed notice of ham radio and going to national club 
events in the USA, to give you some comparisons.

This is clearly the time for the "first world" to further encourage the 
"developing world" to train and license more hams in their countries.  Yes, 
"HAM" does translate as "Helping All Mankind."
