DO2MLU and Anja DO2WW plan to be QRV until August 17th from the A61AJ
station, United Arab Emirates. The main activity will be the WAE CW
contest (August 13-14th). Before and after the contest look for activity
mainly on the WARC bands, CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via K2UO for North

11/08/2005:  Loof for Cha, HS8KAY, to be active until December 31st from
Phuket Island (IOTA AS-053). He will be staying and working at his home

11/08/2005:  Juan Carlos, EA2RC, and Marq, CT1BWW, will be QRV until
August 14th as PY0F/EA2RC and PY0F/CT1BWW from Fernando de Noronha (IOTA

11/08/2005:  R0K - Valery, RZ6AU, reports over 1800 QSOs for 16 hours of
operation from Shalaurova Island (IOTA AS-174/pr), and lighthouse (ARLHS
ASR-126). The conditions are very unstable. Sometimes no propagation at
all!!! There are no satellite internet connection established from the
island still yet! The team organized a second working position, which
will be dedicated to mostly CW operation. They hope to run the 2nd
position starting from 10:00 UTC. For safety reason, there is a circle

15/08/2005:  Alain, F6ENO, will be active portable and QRP from the
Condamine Summit in the French Alps, August 15th or 16th, weather
permitting. Activity is scheduled to start around 12:00 UTC until his
power cells run out of power. He will be QRP on 40 meters using a HM 2
watts CW transceiver powered by a pack of two 2Ah cells, and a 2X10
meters dipole at 1.5 meters above ground (but at more than 3000 meters
ASL). He is limited to 15Kg of gear that he can carry in his rucksack
which is prepared for a two day journey (included food, tent and pegs,
ice axe, cords, snap hooks etc.). The second rucksack, which is his wife
Odile's, is devoted to photography gear. The callsign to be used is the
French CW Society (Union Francaise des Telegraphistes): F8UFT/p. All

20/08/2005:  Between August 20th and 23rd, look for Claude, to be active
as F5MCC/p from at least five of these eight Lighthouses of the
Finistere Department (DDFM 29), French Brittany (DPF 06). All of them
count for the French Onshore Lighthouses award (DPLF) and even some

Contest, August 20th, as RK9FWW/p from the Usol'sky area (RDA PM-44),

28/08/2005:  Look for Bob, N2OML, to be QRV from Mustang Island (IOTA
NA-092, USI TX-011S, Nueces County), Texas, between August 28th and

30/08/2005:  Vince, IZ0FKE, plans to be QRV August 30 to September 2,
2005, from Texel Island (IOTA EU-038). He will use the call PA/IZ0FKE on

Akhziv Island (IOTA AS-100) during the month of September. Further

05/09/2005:  Look for Klaus, DJ4JI, to be QRV September 5-10th as
OZ/DJ4JI from Bornholm Island (IOTA EU-030, DIA BO-001 for the Danish
Islands Award). Activity will be on 80, 40 and 20 meter SSB only, using

10/09/2005:  Svein, LA6IKA, will be on board a cruise ship
(CE/LA6IKA/mm) starting September 10, 2005, through January 13, 2006.
The trip will include multiple stops with expected activity from Chile
and Easter Island as CE/LA6IKA and CE0/LA6IKA in the December 6-13th
time frame. He will have an IC-703 and simple vertical antennas for
activity on 6 through 40 meters mostly on CW and some digital modes and

30/09/2005:  Stephan, DK3TNA, plans to be QRV from the island of Crete
(IOTA EU-014, MIA MGC-005) as SV9/DK3TNA from September 30 to October

01/10/2005:  André, HB9HLM, will be QRV October 1-14th as CN2DX on HF,

25/10/2005:  8P9LP will be another K3LP operation, this one for the CQ
WW SSB contest (October 29-30th), from Barbados (IOTA NA-021). K3LP will
be joined by W3ARS, Clint; N3KS, Kam; N3VOP, Mike; W3ADC, John; and
W3ADX, Nathan, plus members of the Barbados Amateur Radio Club. 8P9LP
plans to be a multi-2. They will be fixing up some of the antennas at
the club station there. Arrival is October 25 and departure November
1st. Before and after the CQWW, W3ARS, N3VOP and W3ADC will spend time
on 6 meters. W3ADX will be doing some RTTY and PSK. QSL via operators
