The team will run three stations (one for SSB, one for CW and one for RTTY and 6 metres) with two amplifiers, yagis for 10, 15 and 20 metres, a 5-element yagi for 6m, a rotative dipole for 40m and dipoles for the other bands. QSL via EA5BYP. 5R - Willi, DJ7RJ will be active again as 5R8RJ from Nosy Be (AF-057) from 26 September to 26 October. Expect activity on 160-10 metres CW and SSB. QSL via home call. [TNX DJ7RJ] EA6 - Javi, LU5FF reports he will be active as EA6/LU5FF from Mallorca, Balearic Islands (EU-004) until 16 November. He will operate CW and SSB on 30-10 metres. QSL via EA7FTR. EL - The 5L2MS team members [425DXN 849] have received their individual callsigns: EL2AK (Arie/PA3A), EL2AG (Ad/PA8AD), EL2AN (Arie/PA3AN) and EL2AO (Henk/PA3AWW). The expedition will take place on 3-24 October. Their goals are to activate Liberia on 160-10 metres CW, SSB and RTTY, to raise funds for a charity project in cooperation with Mercy Ships, and to support the Liberia Radio Amateur Association (LRAA) with equipment. For the time being he operates mainly CW on 30 metres, using 50 watts into a wire which he hopes to replace with a new antenna as soon as possibile. QSL via FM5LD, direct or bureau. [TNX F5NQL] FO - Hiro, JI1JKW will operate as FO/JI1JKW from Raiatea (OC-067), French Polynesia from 30 Septenber to 4 October. He plans to be active holiday style on 40-6 metres SSB and CW. QSL via home call, direct or bureau. [TNX JE1LFX] H40 - Mike, KM9D and Jan, KF4TUG are now going to Tikopia Island (OC-178), Temotu Province. They will be active as H40MY, but "their estimated time of arrival, length of stay and operating plans are unknown at this time". [TNX The Daily DX] HR - The announced 23-28 September multi-operator activity from Swan Island (NA-035) was cancelled [425DXN 855], but Javier, HR2J is still determined to go and operate from this rare IOTA group. He now hopes to reach the island by a Navy ship, while the return trip will be by an Air Force plane. Javier will be running a one-man expedition from 7 October to 8 November, and he expects to operate barefoot as HQ8R on all bands for at least four hours a day. HV - Francesco, IK0FVC has been authorized to use a special callsign, HV50VR (where VR stands for Vatican Radio), to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Vatican's broadcasting centre at Santa Maria di Galeria. [TNX JI6KVR] SM - Tom, DL2RTK will be signing SD7T (instead of SE7TK) during the 6-13 October activity from Ven Island (EU-137) [425DXN 855]. On 6 October they will be QRV with only one antenna and possibly low power, as the QTH they have chosen (close to Hakens Fyr, ARLHS SWE-168) will be available on the 7th.
