This expedition is to celebrate the 75th anniversary of FMRE. [NG3K] 21/11/2007: The VooDoo Contest Group previously announced that its project for the 2007 CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th) will be in 3X, Guinea. This is our 14th straight year operating from various countries in West Africa in the Multi-Multi category of the contest. They will mount seven 1KW stations with monoband antennas for all six bands right beside the Atlantic ocean in Conakry, the capital of Guinea. The call-sign they have been allocated is 3XY5D. The group still hopes to secure a shorter call but this is now the most likely to be used in the contest. They also have a VHF licence for 2mtr EME: 3XT1 (3X tango one with no suffix).
