contest stations from The Netherlands who normally compete with each

LOTW NETS. Neil, W3ZQI, reports, "The first weekly 'Logbook of the World
Net' (LOTW-Nets) is now in operation. Meeting each Monday evening at
2359z (i.e. Monday evening 7:59pm. EDT), this net meets on 14.270 MHz
(increment +5 as required if QRM). Additional frequencies and dates are
proposed. The LOTW DX and WAS nets are to help awards chasers find needed
DX and WAS stations that are willing to QSL via the ARRL's 'Logbook of
The World' system. This net and E-mail group are open to all amateur
radio operators that are willing to QSL via LoTW. Netlogger is used
(optional)." The whole purpose of the nets are: "Work those needed
band/entities and have confirmations usable toward ARRL awards in hours,
not months or years." Reference Web pages are:

TK, CORSICA. Nicolas, F5TGR, will be active as TK/F5TGR from Porto Vecchio,

V26B super station at Gunthroppes, during the CQ WW DX SSB Contest (October
25-26th) as a Multi-? entry. QSL via LoTW, or direct to KA2AEV.

VK0, ANTARCTICA. Bob, VK2MRP, announced this past week that he will be
active at the Antarctica Davis station during the 2008-2009 summer. He
states, "I do not have my VK0 callsign yet but am hoping to have it
organised in the next couple of weeks as well as a new home call (I
just upgraded my licence)."

VK9C, COCOS (KEELING) ISLANDS (OC-003). The "425 DX News" is reporting
that Giovanni, I5JHW, will be active as VK9CJW from here between August
22-29tht. His operation will be holiday style but with activity on
40/20/17/15/12/10 meters using SSB and RTTY. He will be using an amplifier

VK9D, WILLIS ISLAND (DXpedition Update). There is a new press release
(#4) dated July 10th, on the new VK9DWX Web site at: http://www.vk9dwx.de
It is fairly long, but in short it states that the team plans to install
2 camps on the island with 2 stations each. There might be an additional
5th station for spare and for Pactor connection to upload the online log,
pictures and news to their Web site. By the end of July, they will be
sending their first pile of equipment via sea cargo. The team has decided
to take 6 meters. They state, "As we don't have enough people to man a
separate station on 6m, we plan to install CW Skimmer on a separate radio
which is always on stand-by. If there will be any signal on the band, we
will get notice of it via our network and can easily man the 6m station."
They have also mentioned that they have decided to charter a second boat
which will deliver some more fuel to the island, necessary for continous
operation during their planned extended timeframe. The only purpose of
this second boat until now is to bring fuel, fresh food, drinks and maybe
needed equipment to Willis Island. As there is a place for 16 people on
this boat they thought: "Why not offer a a four day trip to visit VK9DWX?"
Yep, you can have a chance to see the guys operate during their October
VK9DWX DXpedition. Complete details are available on the above Web page.

using CW, SSB and FM. Listen to 50.115 MHz. Pilot stations for the
