Although I am a bit of a Dell fan, my Inspiron 7500 is neither thin
nor light. With a half gig of memory, I refer to it as a luggable server.
The machine is very powerful and rugged, though. It also seems to produce
no noticeable interference from 160m to 23cm.
I have a client who has deployed about 100 of the Vaios and so far I have
been favourably impressed. They have been reliable and are much lighter and
more portable than the Inspiron. I do not know anything about their sound
systems though.
