Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is on topic or not......but I bought a VERY old ham
radio book from one of the bookshops in Hay on Wye. For those who don't
know, Hay on Wye is a delightful, quaint little town on the English/Welsh
border...FULL of bookshops, in fact it's a bookworm's Mecca. My XYL visits
TOO frequently, hence our ramshackle old house is FULL of books to the point
there the library has spread over three or four rooms.

Sorry, I digress....it's the ragchewer in me.

My point is that this book lists a place called Maria Theresa Reef as a DXCC
country (see, the message IS about DX!). A Later edition lists it as
deleted. Looking at the various atlases that we have, I can find a Maria
Theresa Reef on some charts but not others. It's listed by Rand McNally as
36.58S 151.23W, near Ernest Legouve Reef, mid-way between Chatham Island and
French Polynesia.

What's the story? I'm intrugued.

Regards
