The W2JT Packetcluster node (located in NNJ on 144.930) is back on the air.

The antenna for the station took a direct lightning hit the evening before
Father's Day. As you can imagine the antenna and feedline were fried. Also
damaged were the 144MHz and 220MHz radios, various components of the
computer system, and the W2JT repeater.

Upon return from a tower job in Nebraska, Mike Crawford WA2VUN of Antennas
Plus, Inc., expedited replacement of the antenna and feedline. Sysop Rich
K2RW was able to salvage the computer and supply a replacement 220MHz radio.
I picked up the refurbished equipment from Rich, installed it yesterday
morning, and Rich had links re-established late Saturday afternoon. John
W2JB provided a loaner 2m radio which will run the system until someone gets
around to making an interface cable for the new 2m ICOM which was hand
delivered to the site by Gene of KJI Electronics. I've been connected to
the node all night and this morning and it appears to be running just fine.

Special thanks to Mike and Gene for helping us get back on the air. You guys
rule!
