I was lucky to be one of the USA hams chosen and licensed to test out the 5 Meg. band for possible ham use. I have operated it and can say it will be a good band especially to take pressure on USA rag chewing, I HOPE, off of squeezed old 40M. 5 Meg has the usual QRN but remarkably few other signals there. It propagates nicely to Carribean from FLA, at least, and will be a great new allocation. 73, K4VUD Charly
