TY Benin - This year Pat, I8QLS (IR8A,TY2LS, one of IH9P) will back in Benin (TY - zone 35), 19-28 October, for the CQWW phone contest. The team will be: Pat I8QLS, Piero W1NA/I8CZW and Gino I8ULL. Before the contest focus will be on low bands, warc, 6m and CW. During the contest: I8QLS s.o. 10 m; W1NA s.o. 15 m; and I8ULL s.o. 20 mt. QSL manager: I8ACB. [tnx Diamond DX Club] Update on YB lighthouses. Ravai, YB2MTA, now operating on OC-186 as YE2R had hoped to operate from 2 new lighthouses from YB land. Nyamuk, LH-0026 is near his present location but can not get a boat to take him there so this one is canceled. Panjang, LH-0479 in IOTA OC-237 is still a possibility shortly after his present expedition. Should you talk with him, be sure to encourage his trip to the lighthouse on Panjang.
